We connect dispatch records in your system to Delhivery's waybill, pickup and tracking services.
When every shipment means logging into a courier portal, copying addresses and pasting tracking numbers back, dispatch slows down and mistakes creep in. Connecting Delhivery means the waybill is created from the order itself, and tracking updates arrive on the order without anyone checking a portal.
What we build with it
- Generating a waybill against a confirmed order
- Scheduling pickup from the dispatch point
- Tracking status back onto the order without a portal visit
- Checking whether a pin code is serviceable before accepting an order
How it works
- An order is packed, and the user enters or confirms the package weight and dimensions.
- The system sends the consignee, package and payment mode — prepaid or cash on delivery — to Delhivery.
- Delhivery returns a waybill number and label, which is printed and attached to the parcel.
- A pickup is requested, and tracking updates are collected on a schedule and shown on the order.
- Delivered, returned and failed-delivery statuses update the order, and customers can be notified.
Data exchanged
- Consignee address and contact
- Package weight and dimensions
- Waybill number and tracking status
What is needed to set it up
- A Delhivery business account
- API credentials issued for your account
- Pickup location registered with them
Good to know
- Shipping charges are billed by Delhivery on your own account, at rates agreed with them.
- Declared weight and dimensions should be accurate, because couriers may re-weigh parcels and charge the difference.
- Cash-on-delivery amounts are remitted by the courier on its own cycle, and the system can track what is still due.
