We connect sales and payment data in your system to QuickBooks Online.
QuickBooks Online is widely used by small businesses and accountants in several countries. If your business has an overseas entity, or your accountant abroad keeps your books in QuickBooks, connecting it saves re-entering invoices and payments and keeps both records in agreement. Your operations stay in the system built for them, and the books stay where your accountant works.
What we build with it
- Invoice transfer to QuickBooks
- Customer record sync
- Payment reconciliation
- A transfer log showing what was sent and what QuickBooks rejected
How it works
- We map customers, products, tax codes and income accounts between the two systems.
- When an invoice is finalised, the system creates it in QuickBooks against the matching customer.
- Payments are recorded against the invoice in QuickBooks, or read back from QuickBooks, depending on where they are entered.
- The QuickBooks reference is stored on each record, and failed transfers are listed for correction.
Data exchanged
- Invoices and line items
- Customer records
- Payments and credits
What is needed to set it up
- A QuickBooks Online account
- OAuth authorisation
- Account mapping agreed
Good to know
- Intuit has withdrawn QuickBooks Online from the Indian market, so this connection mainly suits businesses whose books are kept in another country.
- Tax handling differs by country edition, so the mapping is set up for the edition you use.
- The authorisation expires if unused for a long period and must be renewed by an administrator.
