We connect third-party biometric and card attendance terminals to attendance and payroll in your system.

Many businesses already have attendance devices on the wall, bought before any software decision was made. Replacing working hardware is expensive, so where a device can share its punches, we connect it rather than asking you to start again. Because makers differ widely in how their devices share data, we assess each model before promising a connection.

What we build with it

  • Punch import from the device
  • Shift rule application
  • Payroll calculation from attendance
  • Missed-punch requests with manager approval

How it works

  1. We check how the device shares data — a network API, a maker's SDK, a cloud service or a scheduled file export.
  2. Employees are mapped between the device's user IDs and the system's employee records.
  3. Punches are pushed by the device, collected by a small agent on your local network, or imported from export files.
  4. The system applies shift, late-mark and overtime rules and makes the result available for payroll.

Data exchanged

  • Employee identifier
  • Punch timestamps
  • Device location

What is needed to set it up

  • A device exposing an API, SDK or scheduled export
  • Employee ID mapping
  • Network access or a local relay agent

Good to know

  • Some devices only store data locally and can only export it by USB. These can still work, but punches arrive when someone exports them rather than as they happen.
  • Biometric data is sensitive personal data. We design the connection so that fingerprint and face templates stay on the device.
  • Older devices may need a firmware update from the maker before they can connect over the network.
