How it works
- Bins and locations are set up in the system and labelled in the warehouse.
- A picker signs in on the handheld and receives a pick list sorted by location.
- They scan the bin and item at each step; the handheld confirms the right item and quantity before moving on.
- Stock updates as each step is confirmed, and packing triggers label printing on the nearest printer.

Good to know
- Wi-Fi coverage in the aisles must be checked, as racks and metal shelving weaken signals. The handheld app can hold work briefly when signal drops.
- Most rugged handhelds today run Android, so the handheld app can be built as a mobile app with a scanner built in.
- Label printers use their own printing languages; templates are designed and tested for your printer model and label size.
