We connect meeting records in your system to Google Meet, so every scheduled call gets a conference link without anyone creating it by hand.
When a consultation is booked through your software, the client and your staff both need the same joining link, the same time and a reminder. Generating the Meet link at booking time removes the step where someone forgets to send it, and keeps the link on the record for anyone who needs it later.
What we build with it
- Generating a Meet link when a meeting is scheduled
- Client consultations booked through the system
- Internal reviews with a joining link on the record
How it works
- A user or a client books a meeting in the system.
- The system creates a Google Calendar event on the host's calendar and asks Google to attach a Meet conference.
- Google returns the joining link, which the system saves on the meeting record.
- Participants receive the calendar invitation with the link, and the system can also send it by email or WhatsApp.
- If the meeting is rescheduled or cancelled in the system, the calendar event is updated to match.
Data exchanged
- Meeting title and time
- Participant addresses
- Generated conference link
What is needed to set it up
- A Google Workspace account
- Calendar authorisation, as Meet links are created through Calendar
Good to know
- Meet links are tied to a calendar event, so the host's Google Calendar must be connected for links to be generated.
- Features such as recording, meeting length and participant limits depend on your Google Workspace edition.
- External participants do not need a Workspace account to join, though the host may need to admit them depending on your settings.
