We connect meeting records and system notifications in your system to Microsoft Teams.
If your team talks in Teams all day, that is where alerts get noticed. A large order, an approval waiting too long or a failed payment can be posted into the right channel, and meetings booked in the system can carry a Teams link from the start.
What we build with it
- Generating a Teams link for a scheduled meeting
- Posting business alerts into a Teams channel
- Client meetings booked from the system
How it works
- A meeting is booked, or a business event you care about occurs in the system.
- For meetings, the system creates an online meeting through Microsoft Graph and saves the joining link on the record.
- For alerts, the system formats a short message with a link back to the record.
- The message is posted to the chosen Teams channel, where the team can discuss and act on it.
Data exchanged
- Meeting details and time
- Attendees
- Conference link
- Notification content
What is needed to set it up
- A Microsoft 365 account with Teams
- OAuth authorisation
- Target channel for notifications
Good to know
- Microsoft has changed how external systems post into channels more than once, so we use the method Microsoft currently supports and keep it updated.
- Channel messages are visible to every channel member. Keep amounts and personal details to what that group should see.
- Too many alerts get ignored. We help you choose the few events that deserve a message.
